The most positive thing about Spirit + Flesh UK was the chance to see Fakir Musafar, a living legend, perform in London, promoting the development of live art and performance in the UK, by confirming the complexity of its histories and futures. Dominic Johnson

Spirit + Flesh UK was the first UK visit of Fakir Musafar and Cléo Dubois in 12 years. It took place from 18th to 26th May 2007.
A diverse programme of events showcased Fakir & Cléo’s work for new & established audiences. The range of activities allowed audiences to explore and participate in Fakir’s work at a level appropriate to them.
The week culminated in a magnificent Spirit + Flesh Intense Piercing Experience. Over forty people took part in this landmark event never previously held in the UK.
